According to TechCrunch, Apptopia’s analysis of the AI app market showed that 15.3 million apps were released on the Apple App Store in May.FirstIn the first month, the number of downloads exceeded 3.9 million, and by June it reached 15.1 million.
Additionally, the report mentioned that as of September, ChatGPT usage on mobile devices has grown from just over 1.34 million monthly active users in May to 38.88 million currently.
ChatGPT’s mobile app is growing faster than most products in the AI chatbot market in terms of consumer spending.
“It grew from $352 in the month of launch to $929, reaching $1.98 million by September and nearly $2.39 million by October 24,” the report said.
Sam Altman, CEO of ChatGPT developer OpenAI, said revenue will reach $1.3 billion this year. The Information cited sources as saying that the Microsoft-backed artificial intelligence company's monthly revenue is apparently exceeding $100 million, an increase of 30% from earlier this year.
The report said CEO Sam Altman told employees this week that "OpenAI's revenue is growing at a rate of $1.3 billion per year." In 2022, the company's revenue was just $28 million.
The report said, "Since the company launched the paid version of ChatGPT in February, the rate of revenue growth (mainly from subscriptions to conversational chatbots) has increased significantly." OpenAI also raised funds with a valuation of $80-90 billion by selling existing shares.
